AEG offers the new reclosing system StartUp, according to CEI 23-101, for reclosing of Residual Current Devices (RCDs).

StartUp is available in a single version, to be coupled to all AEG RCDs type up to 100A, even if they are already mounted in the system.

The RCDs are often interested from unwanted opening due to temporary events as perturbations in the electrical net, impulsive overcurrents of atmosferic and handling origin.

In most of the opening actions (95%), a simple switching on of the RCD solves the problem, because the event, which is responsible of the opening, is disappeared in the meantime.

The StartUp device, assembled to the RCD, provides to automatically switch on the RCD in a sequence of 6 attempts, with a delay from 10 to 600 seconds, through a quick motor control and a relay system for the system monitoring.

The system is fully automatic and does not require any human operation, neither for the first activation; more, it's possible to drive the motor from a remote position, giving a signal for closing and getting the RCD status information.

The yellow vertical lever has to be used for the mechanical locking of the device, in the higher position for "Automatic" and in the lower position for "Manual-Maintenance", with padlock possibility (in this case the reclosing device is totally out off use).
